Emergency room

We are running 24 hour emergency services dedicated to paediatric age group having multidisciplinary approach and different other field participating in the active management and emergent care of the child.

This area is fully covered by one PICU fellow and one pediatric resident. Apart from resident doctors, pediatric casualty is supervised by a pediatric emergency consultant round the clock.

Pediatric Emergency and Acute Care Services

Department of Pediatrics Institute of Child Health provides round the clock (24x7) emergency services to all the pediatric patients (birth to 16 years) coming to emergency room of the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. The pediatric emergency services are supervise by senior pediatric consultant who is trained in pediatric emergency, acute care and toxicology. In addition to emergency services, pediatric procedural services are also provided. The department handles around 8000 to 9000 pediatric emergencies each year and provided around 1500 pediartic procedural sedations last year.
