Transport

The department offers ‘state-of-the-art’ pediatric critical care transport services, both by road and air, round the clock. The department firmly believes that early stabilization and treatment during transport of a critically sick child have major impact on the successful outcome in the PICU. We are well equipped in both national and international transport of sick children.

The PICU helpline, on receiving a requisition, organizes an ambulance equipped with transport ventilator, emergency life saving drugs and multi-parameter monitor for continuous monitoring of vital parameters during transportation. A trained pediatric intensive care fellow accompanies the transport team. Accompanying medical team ensures the safe transport of critically ill child to the unit.
