The Diploma in Pediatric Allergy and Asthma (DPAA) is India’s premier one-year blended learning program dedicated to the comprehensive training of physicians in the diagnosis and management of allergic disorders, asthma, and related respiratory diseases in children. Conducted by the Ganga Ram Institute for Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (GRIPMER) at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in collaboration with International Asthma Services (IAS) and endorsed by the Center for Global Health, University of Colorado, DPAA offers a unique opportunity to gain structured, internationally aligned education in one of the fastest-growing specialties in medicine.
Allergic diseases are increasing at an unprecedented rate worldwide. Asthma, allergic rhinitis, eczema, food allergy, drug allergy, urticaria, and anaphylaxis are now common conditions encountered by pediatricians, physicians, pulmonologists, and ENT specialists. Despite this growing burden, formal structured training in allergy remains limited in India.
DPAA was designed to bridge this gap by providing practical, evidence-based, and clinically relevant training that empowers doctors to confidently manage allergic disorders in day-to-day practice.
DPAA is ideal for doctors who wish to develop specialized expertise in allergy and asthma care, including:

Over the years, DPAA has built a vibrant community of specialists from India and abroad who are now leading allergy clinics, academic initiatives, and research projects in their respective institutions.
DPAA is more than a diploma—it is a transformative academic journey that equips clinicians with cutting-edge knowledge, practical skills, and global perspectives to deliver world-class allergy and asthma care.
Whether you aspire to establish an allergy clinic, enhance your current practice, or contribute to research and education, DPAA provides the ideal platform to become a leader in this rapidly evolving specialty.
